This high rise was built in 1972 and designed by Des Moines architectural firm of Lynch Payne Champion Bernabe.  At 345 foot tall and 25 stories, it is the fourth tallest building in Des Moines. Its renovation by Slingshot Architecture started in 2015. One of the key strategies of this transformation was a refresh all of the interior and exterior spaces using new materials and a clean design aesthetic. The original cantilevered canopy was restored, creating a strong extension of the interior lobby. The most impactful addition was exterior lighting, which positively showcases the building in the city’s skyline.
