Oliver O. Smith partnered with a number of different architectural designers and in various combinations, designed a number of Iowa buildings including Monroe Co. Courthouse (1902-3), Appanoose County Courthouse (1903-4), Iowa State Fairgrounds Agriculture Building (1904), and the original Iowa Historical Building (1898) which is now the State Library, and is known as the Ola Babcock Miller building. Firm names included Foster, Liebbe & Smith, Smith & Gutterson, Smith & Gage, Smith & Wetherell and more.
