Founded in 1989, the Iowa Architectural Foundation (IAF) is the only charitable organization in the state to promote awareness and appreciation of architecture and design. IAF engages the public with architecture and design through youth education, community design charrettes, and public awareness programs.
As a publicly-supported charity, IAF relies solely on the continued, generous support of donations and grants from private individuals, architectural firms, industries allied to architecture, small businesses, corporations, and foundations to provide the majority of its programming at no charge to the general public.
We invite Iowa’s citizens, communities, and business leaders to invest in a vision that recognizes the role of architecture and design in enhancing the quality of life in our state.
