2012

Treynor
This charrette recommended traffic slowing measures along Highway 92, city-wide streetscapes, a town center park, and facade improvements for the businesses.

Underwood
This charrette recommended gateway entrances, updated streetscapes for the Magnolia, Highway 191, and 3rd Street corridors, and facade improvements for the downtown business district.

 

2011

Atlantic
This charrette recommended updated community entrance signs, directional signage, and a community plaza at the corner of 7th and Olive Streets.

Neola
This charrette recommended new lighting, pathways, landscaping, directional signage, and other streetscape improvements for the community's Front Street and surrounding business district.

 

2010

Lincoln-Fairview Neighborhood Association
This charrette recommended historic lighting, pathways, fencing, landscaping, directional signage, and other improvements along Lafayette Avenue between the Lincoln Monument and the Ruth Anne Dodge Memorial.

Fairmount Park Neighborhood Association
This charrette identified beautification efforts to create a sense of unity within an historic district comprised of a variety of architectural styles and periods.  Recommendations included gateway monuments at major neighborhood entrances.

 

2009

Macedonia
This charrette recommended new street lighting, facade improvements, landscaping, and gateway monuments including a proposed site for a veterans monument.

Crescent
This charrette conceptualized ideas for aesthetic improvements along Old Lincoln HIghway including proposed sites for a fire station and a combined city hall-community center. 

 

2008

Historic Implement District (Council Bluffs)
This charrette generated recommendations on streetscape improvements, possible use of vacant property, street realignments, and landscaping treatments around a manufacturing facility due to planned redevelopment of an historic buidling by a private developer.

West Union
This charrette assessed rear alley entrances of 37 buildings in the central business district and made recommendations for improvements to aesthetics, access, and signage before front entrances became inaccessible  due to streetscape construction.

Minden
This charrette provided recommendations for new lighting, sidewalks, parking, signage, landscaping, and strategies to create a sense of visual connection between the community center and the business district while paying homage to the town's German heritage.
