The Iowa Architectural Foundation is a charitable nonprofit organization established in 1989 by the architectural community to promote awareness of the contribution of architecture and community design to the quality of life in Iowa.  

The Foundation pursues its mission through youth education programs, community design charrettes, an awards program, and architectural walking tours for adults and school groups.  

The Iowa Architectural Foundation invites Iowa’s citizens, communities, and business leaders to invest in a vision that recognizes the role of architecture and community design in enhancing the quality of life in our state.

The Foundation offers its programs thanks to the continued, generous support of donations and grants from private individuals, architectural firms, industries allied to architecture, corporations, and foundations.
