ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY – three session class

Dates: September 22nd, 29th & October 6th

Meets: Saturdays, 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM

Location: Iowa Center for Architecture,400 Locust St. #100, Des Moines., Ste. 100, Des Moines (Capital Square)

Instructor: Iowa Architectural Foundation (Tim Bungert, AIA)

Expand your knowledge of architecture through photography. The first session of this popular class will discuss photography basics including composition, lighting, and scale along with examples of architectural photography. The second session features a tour of downtown Des Moines that will allow participants to photograph along the way. This tour may extend beyond the allotted class time as desired by participants. Students will select and print photos for the third session critique. Digital camera required, SLR preferred. No phone cameras, please. Students will need to print up to four 8 x 10 photographs before the third session.

ARCHITECTURE IN DOWNTOWN DES MOINES  – three session class

Attend this class on downtown Des Moines’ architectural treasures! An overview of architectural trends that shaped downtown over the past 130 years forms the first two session.  The third is a walking tour that includes Hotel Row, examples of Art Deco, and a building by “Make no little plans” Daniel Burnham, FAIA.
